MY HISTORY / SELECTIVELY PRESENTED

I have had
several opinions.

A short introduction from a dog who generally enters a room all at once.

I have always understood the value of a senior position.

The initial appointment

I arrived as a puppy. My human believed a dog had been acquired. I believed a member of staff had been appointed. We agreed to proceed without resolving the paperwork.

An excellent beginning

I’ve had people who cared about me from the beginning. I consider their commitment excellent. My own contribution has been wholehearted enthusiasm, occasionally delivered at an inconvenient speed.

I remember the love. The administrative details are considerably less interesting.

The current operation

I live in the Denver area with my humans. I am very interested in what they are doing, especially if they appear to be doing it without me.

They handle opening things. I bring the ears and a level of commitment they have repeatedly described as “a bit much.” I prefer “fully invested.”

A colleague with claws

There is also a cat. We are getting used to each other gradually. My humans are giving us time and space. I am giving the situation a great deal of attention.

The cat has a different approach to things. Quieter. More vertical. I’m still working out the appeal.

Read my latest report on the cat situation.

Professional development

I have discovered that daycare can be enjoyable. This is inconvenient for my long-standing position that new arrangements require a formal complaint.

I like having things to do. I also like coming home to my people. I can enjoy a day out and still be delighted to see them. I contain multitudes. Most of them are moving.

My final position

My humans keep figuring things out, and I keep showing up with my whole self. Usually at speed.

They’re my people. I’ll keep them.
